I have been working at Forever 21 full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Product is cute, and easily stoppable with discounts. You are in a very fast paced environment so you stay busy, and it is a good place for people new to a job to get started with a lot of different skills to be learned very quickly with no support in time to learn. It’s sink or swim from day 1 with no actual time allowed to learn how to swim.

    Cons

No corporate or District level support. No culture for training and growing employees. Customers are not out first, and districts consistently make decisions that sacrifice the shopping experience. It is 100% about quantity over quality. The employees are never put first. The company constantly changes DOR and sacrifices work load, ethics, and employees Hours and paychecks when ever they need a quick fix. Hourly associates are expected to be 100% flexible with their time and never know if the company will ask them to work crazy amounts of overtime 1 week, or cut them down to less than 10hrs the next. Large volume fast paced sales make all levels extremely stressful and new hires often leave because they can’t handle it. Benefits are not good and copays are crazy high. Maintenance in stores and LP procedures create questionable work environments. Turn over is high all year and hard to staff because the Higher ups do not value their teams and word of mouth is rarely positive for F21.

I worked at Forever 21 part-time for less than a year

    Pros

10% off discount. Doesn't apply on sales Easy to get hired (high turnover rate)

    Cons

First, the management and other employees play a huge role in this kind of job. Management was incredibly poor and unprofessional at this store. The turnover rate here was insane. People would literally quit in a day during training. It wasn't uncommon to show up and see someone else had quit on a daily basis. Poor treatment of employees. Employees are treated as completely expendable, while some are shown favoritism (like any unprofessional workplace). Cashiers are the most valued but only if they are selling the forever 21 credit cards. But quick to be replaced when their sales drop which is one the few reasons that constantly leads to good employees losing morale and choosing to quit. Managers are chosen based more on who sticks around and gets along with the current managers. Breaks are not always given, even if you have never taken one your whole shift. Customers can be incredibly messy, especially in the sale areas. Employees get sent home all the time when business is slow, so you literally show up to go home and waste your time. Pay is minimal and benefits are almost non-existent. I would never recommend working here to anyone! There are other jobs out there where you'll be much more valued.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fast Fashion, love the idea, but poorly executed

    Cons

You have absolutely no idea how your store is truly doing. You just see your sales, but if you were asked what you put on the bottom line, not a clue.
