    I worked at Forever 21

    Pros

Staff are really nice and you all become part of a work family. Also breaks are paid for which I suppose is a plus.

    Cons

Only 10% staff discount, managers are really rude and cold, managers gang up on staff, badly organised, generally the atmosphere is pretty crap as everyone hates it and the managers are always negative.

    Advice to Management

    Be a human being

I worked at Forever 21 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

friendly staff members; opportunities to grow within the company whether it's management or visual team; can wear other brand clothing; good location

    Cons

the staff discount is 10 %; management can be quite demanding; not that flexible with hours; also prepare to do overtime if they need you or something is not finished.

    Advice to Management

increase the staff discount; maybe some sort of bonus system or commission would be great to keep people more motivated to drive sales.

I have been working at Forever 21 part-time for more than a year

    Pros

If the manager's favourite you from the get go then you're basically set to work here. (You'd probably be able to get away with murder!) Rota's are shown in the staff room, 4 weeks in advance (However, managers will change your rota without telling you beforehand!) Uniform-wise, it's really good, you're allowed to wear anything providing you don't have any logos visible. If you work a full 9 hour shift you get an... hour's break, a 8 hour shift gets you a 30 min break, a 6 hour shift gets you 20 and anything less you don't get a break which is pretty fair. Workers tend to finish earlier than their set time (Stores close at 8 on weekdays and 5 on Sundays. however you are expected to work an extra hour to to clean up, most days workers are efficient enough to be able to leave earlier, but this means you don't get your full pay! So a warning in advance for those needing the money!)

    Cons

Bad, lazy management. Very unlikely to take your concerns seriously, managers also have clear favourites with staff which allows these 'chosen staff' to get away with things such as acting inappropriately on the floor, being able to have their phone on them whilst working, and able to have days off without booking in advance along with not being expected to work as hard or observed whilst working. Don't get paid... fully if the store is closed early. Staff aren't placed in ratio. For example there's usually two people at the front of the store, 1 person in accerories and the rest on tills or at the back of the store. Needs more workers in the middle and acceroies section! No system for workers to check the stock of clothes in store, leading to customers being annoyed at workers and thus stress on them! Changing rooms are filthy and cramped. Needs more rooms! Tills are super old and slow. Tills also break down constantly. Staff don't get trained on things.
