    It is tough for the investment management industry right now. Especially the active management part. It means cost cutting is a recurring theme.

    good global exposure, good opportunities if you are in the right area, progression possible if you are willing to stick around

    Cons

    Far too many layers of management, very silo-ed structure, lots and lots of senior staff having management meetings and strategic initiatives, with no real interaction with the front line staff
