I worked at Free People full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fun atmosphere if the right team is hired. There is room for promotion if you happen to be working at a store when a manager leaves.

    Cons

Low pay (and there are extreme discrepancies in pay across the country. You might make $30k per year while another employee with your title will make $47k). If you don’t make goals you will be demoted even though district managers do very little to help you get there.

    Advice to Management

Create a better culture for employees.

I worked at Free People part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I got to work with some really great people (but that was only specifically at my store)

    Cons

Hours were brutal Some employees were hired or worked during the day because they had a "Free People look" Can be a gossipy place to work

    Advice to Management

Refine hours. Most girls commute so it was very difficult to get to the store by 7am or leave at 11pm

I worked at Free People part-time for less than a year

    Pros

pay is 10 euro's hourly which is decent 40% discount only 4 hour shifts

    Cons

Store has 4 (?) managers which is very strange and the communication is off so one will tell you that you're doing great and then the other will tell you to do it differently. Therefore things are also explained to you 3+ times. New employees aren't really suppose to do anything except greeting customers and informing them about promo's. Expect extreme boredom.
