Pros
- £300 uniform discount - £600 uniform discount on 70% off items - The vast majority of Sales and Stockroom Assistants are lovely and are the only thing that makes the job bearable! - 1 hr lunch
Cons
- Very bad rota. Some days you could work three closing shifts in a row and then be expected to show up at 7am the next day. - Very awful Supervisors (bar one of them). They are very lazy, just stand around the shop all day and talk. They are also very uninspiring + disorganised, and they think they’re so much better than you because they have the title of a ‘Supervisor’ and earn 50p more than you an hour. - Management team just as bad. There is clear favouritism within the company - some Sales Assistants were treated much better than others as a result of this. They are very unmotivated and act like a bunch of teenagers at High School. Them along with the Supervisors make the workplace very unpleasant. - There is a very high turnover of staff as employees are either getting fired for silly things or they leave after a month or two due to the poor management. - There is no official training. The induction day consisted of a tour of the shop and a discussion about the company. Nothing on customer service, how to make sales or how to use the tills. Everything I learnt on the job was because of me having to ask the other Sales Assistants! - The managers practically expect you to bother and harass the customers until they make a purchase in order to make a sale. Any other approach is unacceptable in their eyes. - Uniform is only a bonus if you are liked by the management team. I only had one piece of clothing from my time at FC due to the management taking a tremendously long time to approve the items I chose out alongside other Sales Assistants, but some were just handed several pieces of clothing. - For the amount of pay they give to the Sales and Stockroom Assistants, they expect far too much from them. Also, if you’re not liked by the management and supervisors, they’ll make it VERY clear. - Sorry this is so long - I had a lot to get off my chest 😂

Pros
The people were lovely - my department was very sociable and I had a great team! Staff discount and lots of Head Office sample sales was also a bonus.
Cons
Stephen Marks does not know his staff. The head of the department was replaced behind her back. The entire retail finance team left in the space of 2 weeks due to poor management and the department I was in had a very high turnover due to not looking after staff. No recognition, no incentives, annual payrises or bonuses.

Pros
-50% off discount 65% off once in awhile -1% commission -good as a part time job and for students
Cons
-poor management -not so friendly managers/ co-workers -manager at sherway garden will push you to buy new collection -if you're a new hire the next day you come to work expect to spend so much money for the outfits the manager will going to give you. -taking you advantage -minimum wage -you will be working all around -will promise to promote you for a higher position but you're just expecting for nothing. -laziest manager, she has 30mins break will be back in 2 hours. -so many co-workers will talk about you behind your back -you accomplished something but somebody will tell to the manager she was the one who finished it. -no benefits.

Pros
As far as retail work is concerned, FC paid about a dollar more per hour than similar companies.
Cons
Ignorant, self absorbed management staff. The management consisted of people at or near 30 years of age acting as if they were up for "most popular" in high school. Constantly telling employees one thing and co-management another all behind one anothers back. Poor management skills in general. There was not anyone willing to lead by example. Management would get other employees to "gang up" on someone they didn't like anymore. Meaning, once they stopped liking you, they would have other employees try to bring you into conversations, put words in your mouth and outright lie about what was said, and then report it to management. Awful place to work.
