    A real REVIEW!

    Pros

Futex provides a training atmosphere for you once you arrive and it is intense. Once the course was completed you are left to your own devices in order to "come up with your style of trading" At first this comes across well as you're on the SIM BUT once you go live be prepared to change that style as management frequently interferes with it for every trader. When the Navinder Singh Sarao case hit the airwaves a rushed attempt to cover those topics were made a few days later for which we were made to sign a document stating we received the appropriate training which was false. My take learn what you can learn and find a real firm.

    Cons

There are fundamentally two core strategies that the firm has and any deviation from there is not met with the appropriate mentality. Be prepared to be berated rather than nurtured as you move from sim to live and develop your trading. Much of the stream is one of management complaining, nagging, like a woman about you not taking his trades, after a while this becomes a psychological drain. Most traders have left due to this one person and that speaks volumes.

    Futures Trader Trainee

    Pros

I have only been here for a short period of time, but my first impression is very good. Futex really put an effort into trying to make you succeed as a trader. They provide you with every thinkable tool (books, performance coahcing i.e. mental awareness, teaching of how to interpret news, newsletters, squawks....) The coaches and mentors are very open, and you are always welcome to ask questions if there is stuff you don't get.

    Cons

You will have a long time without a salary, which can be challenging, in fact you can be here for a very long time without earning any money. You will be busy from you wake up until you go to bed, this is certainly not an eight hour job. Many days you will be working 10-13 hours a day.

    Futex Grad Training programme

    Pros

Access to an abundance of knowledge of the trading industry as a whole. Giving you the best opportunity to make it as a day-trader. Office is open plan and laid back with friendly helpful traders with great knowledge to allow you to develop further as a trader, whilst having great access to technology (both hardware and software - NB the newly launched FutexLive)

    Cons

Officially one is self-employed so i suppose the main con to working with Futex is that you must sustain yourself for a minimum of 3 months but after that earnings potential is essentially limitless.

A great opportunity, for those that can afford it

    Pros

A great environment of people from different backgrounds and cultures. Great coaches and an open and friendly culture Remarkable potential for profit splits, you start at 50/50 and can work yourself up to 90/10

    Cons

3 months non-remunerated traineeship followed by a period of >5 months in which you go live where you are paid £500. If you get a permanent desk after this period your income solely depends on your profitability as there is no base salary.

    Futures training at Futex

    Pros

    - I was advised by a number of current 'local' traders to apply to Futex to begin my trading career due to their established reputation in the market and the seriousness with which they take on and train candidates. If you want professional and proven trading training to set you on your way then Futex is definitely the place for you. - There are a number of other 'Prop Firms' who are more than happy to take anyone on but you will be paying for the privilege. At Futex they take on serious candidates who they believe have what it takes to make it and do not charge anything if you are willing to commit to trading with them. Still no guarantees of course as you will need to prove you are capable! - If Futex think you are good enough they will back you with their own money. If they weren't confident in their ability to train new traders do you think they'd put their own money up!? Remember with other 'Prop Firms' where you pay to train, you will effectively be trading with your own money to prove yourselves! Minimal risk on the company's part. - All the management team are supportive and we have access to new and experienced traders alike who are more than happy to talk about their methods and views. - Office right next to the train station so easy to commute (depending on where you live of course!)

    Cons

    - Get ready for some early starts! (Free coffee is available in the office!) - Note to potential applicants - trading is very hard so don't apply if you think you're going to make money just by pressing a few buttons!.You will have to work hard to be successful.

    Pros

where else can you get a shot at professional trading. After a year I started making money, then good money after two years. Futex do try and lead on innovation , and take a tough rigid approach (to time keeping and effort)

    Cons

its really difficult to get going. Many do not make it to full time trading.

    Pros

Lots of screen time, give you free rain on live markets.

    Cons

If you drop 6-7k your gone. Once you sign that contract they own you for 5 years, chances of getting into another firm who clear through Marex are impossible. Cannot just leave Futex are wise to this, they just keep your Marex clearing account open. All about the owner, more money fro him...no exceptions. No base salary Splits now start at 40/60, when i started they were 50/50 In last 3 years only 1 trader has made it 60/40, shows how large the turn over rate is. Since i Started have saw at least 100 people come and go in about a years time.
