I worked at GAME Digital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Directors do actually care about the community as much as people assume they don't. The CEO is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They are always trying to find new ways of making the business work, which people often interpret as them being idiots, but I got a real sense that they're doing it because they care about their employees.

    Cons

Very tense because of the businesses future.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at GAME Digital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Staff that aren’t managers try

    Cons

The last store manager spent all his time on the phone! Never helped and was more worried about how other managers saw him then how the store ran! If the store was doing well it was his work if it was doing poorly it was mine or the other managers fault, also policy’s are a joke! Getting in trouble with LP because there are 4 different policies on the computers and still getting a warning is a joke

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at GAME Digital part-time

    Pros

    - You get to see a lot of games and merch before they become fully released to the public - That's pretty much it

    Cons

    - Awful health and safety - No regard for staff - Will do absolutely anything to get profit - Excuse and allow racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia as long as customers dont see it

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at GAME Digital full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Attracts great people into its entry level positions. Store managers are almost always excellent. Decent discounts.

    Cons

Horrifically out-of-touch senior management. Multiple layers of seemingly unnecessary upper management (cluster managers, deputy area managers, area managers, regional managers). A beaurocratic nightmare that grows worse by the year. Abysmal support for those looking to advance in the company. Store budgets slashed constantly. Store closures a constant threat, often with little to no warning. Awful out-of-date IT systems and processes.
