RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at GLG full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
I've been at GLG for almost four years now and can attest that our company culture has come such a long way. This last year has been filled with plenty of "unprecedented times" and so many waves of change. GLG has handled each new curveball with conviction and our leadership continues to prove that their employees are a top priority. In the last 6 months, GLG has shown that it values diversity, equity, and inclusion by launching 7 employee resource groups, hiring a Chief Diversity Officer, and continually making small but notable changes like adding different pronoun options to our employee and candidate profiles. GLG was also recently named a "Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality" by the Human Rights Campaign in its Corporate Equality Index! What really made me get on here today and post a review of GLG is how well they've handled the weather crisis in Texas. The support from leaders and colleagues across all our global offices has been incredible to see and feel. GLGers have stopped what they are doing to open their homes to employees in need, cover client work for those without power, and donate money and resources to local organizations. GLG also offered to cover hotel costs and/or connect you to employees in your area who can offer shelter or water. It was once again clear that the safety and wellbeing of employees were a top priority. I constantly find myself bragging about everything GLG has to offer and have yet to find someone in my network who can top it!
Cons
The only con I can think of at the moment is GLGs plan for being back in the office. It seems like every three months we're pushing the date for going back. I wish they would just say we are working from home "indefinitely" instead of the constant back and forth.

Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at GLG full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The role in itself is interesting, you work on a variety of different industries and projects and its up to you to actively get engaged, read around topics and speak with experts and clients to make the job interesting. Otherwise it can easily be very repetitive.
Cons
1. No clear transparency on promotions, and you do not feel very valued for going above and beyond for your clients. 2. You are not learning many hard skills, so it will be harder to transition into a different career.
