I have been working at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time

    Pros

The money isn't bad for what is expected of you and I haven't ever seen anybody loose their job for poor performance, so I guess job security it quite good

    Cons

No profit sharing schemes, no personal development (people just do the same thing year after year), the most terrible shift system ever created by mankind, and raises and bonuses are not based on personal performance but rather company performance.

    Advice to Management

If an employee has a problem then the company has a problem. Focus more on developing your employees and everything will improve.

I worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Tons of experience and places to work and learn as an early engineer

      Cons

Management has no priorities, Everyone is concerned about their own job so career development is tough without spending extra 10-15 hours a week at work and really cultivating personal relationships with staff engineers.

I have been working at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time for more than a year

      Pros

SO... this place is great if you’re just starting in the semiconductor world. There is a somewhat relaxed work environment, in my experience you’re generally left alone unless a specific tool needs attention.

      Cons

Training is non existent. You have 90 days to meet expectations that aren’t communicated or you’re out (I made it just fine) There is a MAJOR disconnect between your immediate manager and their boss. Your MSM is the only one looking out for your best interest if you’ve got a good one. Upper management has no idea who works for them and where.

      Advice to Management

Take your surveys seriously. I get that the voices of the little people aren’t too big of a concern to you, but there’s a reason people quit left and right after working here for a year. START CARING ABOUT THAT because we’re leaving...to your competitors
