I have been working at Gallup full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everything started during the interview process! They make you feel comfortable since day 1! You can really feel the difference from the moment you walk into the office for the interview process. This is one of the best place to work as a management consultant ever, a great place to develop your career and get yourself surrounded by the most brilliant minds! All the employees really live the purpose of the company and everyone is so helpful and amazing! I never thought that i could find such a great workplace in the Consulting field!

    Cons

The only one that i can think is why I didn't apply earlier in my career!

I have been working at Gallup full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Never had a job with so much freedom in any other job. This is a very entrepreneurial culture, where change is embraced and explored. Leadership listens and acts. So many friends and families work at Gallup. This is a tribe and close knit group across the entire globe. The culture is super nice and friendly. You can email CEO, CFO, COO, etc. whenever you want about anything you want. The work is extremely meaningful. Purpose filled, and mission oriented. Helping people find their strengths, changing the way the world's managers think about work environments, guiding CEOs and execs on how to put people at the center of their business, and ensuring all 7.5 billion of the world's voices are heard on some of the most important issues facing us today.

    Cons

Recent changes are making the downsides of the flatness of the organization not so bad. Flat organizations are better for change and letting your voice be heard, but not great for growing into new roles of responsibility. But it's much better now, and I am actually excited for those are just joining the organization. It's a bright future.

I have been working at Gallup full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

People - the most amazing individuals I've ever met. Brilliant to work with, every day learning something new. Go-tos are open to conversations and provide constructive feedback; also supportive of new ways of thinking and working.

    Cons

Bit difficult to get the bonuses included which are based on scores achieved on internal measurements and evaluations. Things tend to move slow in regards to career opportunities.

I worked at Gallup full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

A number of good, clever and engaged colleagues. Still enjoys a good reputation for research (until when?). A shared sense of making the world (a little bit) better with what Gallup produces (analyses, data or engagement work). Attention is given to providing for a good working environment. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Lousy management. Strategic decisions often unclear/non transparent. Family-owned company with all the limitations it implies, exec board not very open to non family members, nepotism. Few prospects for personal and career development (unless you are ready to lick a**** or get married to the Clifton's family). Company is rather risk averse and does not do what it preaches (engagement score are not really used properly, one day you are hero and the other day you are being made redundant for obscure reasons sometimes as you can be sacked very quickly). Although probably a good salesman, CEO is quite weak in terms of vision and strategy and has not proved he can take the company to the next level. Not quite sure if putting his son as his own successor will make it any better or is even good for the future of the company actually...

I have been working at Gallup full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Gallup practices what they preach when it comes to engagement, flexibility, accountability, and utilizing strengths. It is a flat organization with a lot of bandwidth to run with your ideas, create new initiatives, and have a seat at the table. I love coming to work at a place where there aren't clock watchers and where your input is truly valued!

    Cons

People who have been around since the beginning are tied together and it sometimes feels like an exclusive club.

I have been working at Gallup full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Strong mission and purpose filled work that truly impacts the lives of others. Incredible flexibility for a working mom. Managers truly care about you and your family! A gorgeous riverfront campus, with the perks of a credit union, cafeteria, and workout and childcare facility on site. Opportunity to do what I do best each and every day, in collaboration with highly talented and driven partners. Life-long friends that help drive engagement, retention and productivity. C-level executives know you by name and have the best interest of the company in mind as they lead with strategy and integrity to Gallup's future.

    Cons

Gallup managers provide associates great trust and autonomy to do their work. For those seeking more hands on management, direction, and/or structure, Gallup may be an adjustment.
