Pros
- Great people to work with in-store - Immediate line managers are generally fantastic and highly understanding of personal situations - Generous uniform allowance & discount
Cons
- Poor head office and upper management relationships with store workers - Awful pay when compared to similar brands - A disregard for the needs of the lowest paid - Rash sweeping decisions made with no reasoning or explanation - Certain stores almost feel forgotten about, and are almost always at the bottom of the priority list for head office - Unrealistic company 'values' that don't mean anything and are just corporate jargon - HR strongly implying that we all write highly favourable reviews (note that a lot of the reviews have the words 'passionate' 'authentic' & 'innovative'?)
Continue readingDear Ex Employee Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I see that you had a positive experience working with our people in Store, I am sorry that you feel this way regarding some points. We are striving to become competitive with our pay and in October 2015 we decided to award our employees the living wage instead of the national minimum wage. The HR Department alerted to all our employees the benefit of using Glass door and we asked our people to put on their own, honest reviews which they have. For candidates who are interested in working at GANT they get honest and truthful reviews from current, ex employees and we see this very in line with our values of being authentic.
