I have been working at General Mills full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I love working here. Not a physically hard job. Lots to learn but not too. Most of the people here are friendly. Management is very nice and seem to look out for us. The pay is very good.

    Cons

Hard to get on 1st shift

I have been working at General Mills full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great pay Lots of benefits Work is not difficult or too physical Lots of overtime and opportunities to work

    Cons

No work life balance for regular floor operators. However, upper management positions do have more time off and have more 1st shift positions. Lots of 12-hour days due to staffing. Very little communication from management as far as your personal performance Consistent short notice on work schedule (Sometimes you do not know until a Friday if you have to work the entire weekend, so you cannot really make plans outside of scheduled vacation days)

I have been working at General Mills full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good insurance and pay. Good vacation days

    Cons

Too much things that are evil going on and surpervisors are fooled by leadership which most are eating up overtime pay and lying. Don't do random drug test on fulltimers or temps. A lot are coming high and drug deals going on.

I have been working at General Mills for more than 10 years

    Pros

Made investments and gained shelf space because General Mills is a large company with lots of money. Always moving people

    Cons

Corporate care's only about money...no investment in people. This is a label company and not a people company. When other label in company doesn't perform then they close plants to improve thier bottom line
