Pros

- You can get stuck into work that is well above your pay grade which I suppose is good experience.

Cons

Excessive unpaid overtime is mandatory which means you are only really being paid for about 65% of the time you commit to them. This would make sense if the job paid well, but it doesn't. Culture of fear permeates the organisation which means highly emotive conflict between colleagues is never far away. People are severely overworked and mistakes then get made. Any mistakes however are not tolerated and scapegoating, excessive blame, profanities and shouting as a result are the norm. Seen a lot of arguments, emotional breakdowns, crying and unacknowledged alcoholism. There were some perks that made people feel somewhat like they were valued such as subsidised lunches but those disappeared to be replaced with an external supplier that charged higher prices and 'wellness' talks by unqualified HR people that you had to sacrifice your lunch break for, if of course you got a lunch break at all that day. You often didn't.
