Pros
Great colleagues, opportunity to get involved in varied responsibilities
Cons
Annual restructures where 10% of the head office workforce are made redundant (through a process where they are effectively sacked on the spot), to save money. Workload then redistributed to the remaining people with no additional benefits offered for more work. Lack of leadership from directors and some senior managers who get by doing the bare minimum

Pros
Good and flexible with a student schedule, good friends to work with, good pay for a part-time job, always overtime and incentives, discount card.
Cons
The staff love to cause drama, there is an unfair level of hierarchy amongst colleagues who are of the same job role. You will get contracted backshifts and full weekends if you are a student, with no rolling shift patterns. No real chance to progress unless you want to do graduate scheme or be a section leader for only a small amount more in pay.

Pros
Helpful generally the staff and nice atmosphere, clocking in and out ensuring equality on how efficient you are.
Cons
Exploited slightly being seasonal. Although I was contracted for 10 hrs, was expected you do over 40 hrs. Although not pressurised to do hrs , other staff especially the younger ones frowned on this if you didn't do all these hrs and some shifts felt like you were in a school yard. Management weak, not listened to or any requests acted on. Managements
- 1.019 Jan 2015Warehouse OperatorFormer Employee, less than 1 yearStoke-on-Trent, England
Pros
the money was great I can't think of much else
Cons
the job was dull, obviously, you expect that in a warehouse the managers were awful, completely unorganised and there's too many people for them to care about anyone they wouldn't give me time off for an operation I got injured at the job and they managed to nearly fire me for having time off that the hospital ordered me to after 8 months I still didn't receive a locker and i asked about it nearly every week since starting I also only got a few items of uniform and no one would sort it out for me
