    Pros

Lovely environment to grow, with lots of training, opportunities to try new skills, and a focus on behavior and personal development. increasing focus on driving change in the business

    Cons

    Pros

Very Friendly people, extremely good working atmosphere, passion for science and progress.
Real sense of concern for important work they are doing to treat patients and make their medicines available as quickly as possible to as many people as possible.
    Great work life balance

    Cons

Still behind in technology capabilities compared to other top performing competitors like Novartis/Merck

    Pros

Great opportunity to gain insight on Sales and Marketing functions within famous household brands. The bonus was unexpected at this level.

    Cons

The base pay is low to average for an industrial placement, considering the costs involved with living in London.

I worked at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very modern company to work for, great benefits and a lot of opportunities

    Cons

Very political and no integrity in management. At the time a former employee was in a relationship with her manager’s manager and even though it was proven with pictures it was very badly managed. Put under the carpet and no HR involvement. A lot of inequality in promotions where promotions were granted to individuals that are in direct relation with management.

    Advice to Management

More transparancy and involvement of HR in unfair cases.

I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - amazing culture, very nice people, flexible working conditions (can work from home) and endless room for profession due to large teams and talent focused senior management.

    Cons

Salaries are significantly lower than other industries especially in procurement. Especially if you are an internal hire progressing upward, HR often blocks significant increases which means you end up with much lower than market salary.

    Advice to Management

Positive discrimination against women and equal opportunities for women, all senior management is white and majority male. As a Pakistani British female this is incredibly discouraging as I feel there should be more of an effort in the diversity arena
