    I worked at Globant full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Overall the experience has been positive. I worked for We Are Experience - a Service Design Consultancy for a year and a half until we were acquired by Globant. We became the consulting arm of the company. My review will cover both experiences although it will focus more on how the company is now.

    There are some great opportunities here:
    • You're surrounded by a talented and passionate team
    • As a junior you're thrown into the deep end and given responsibility from the start - but with the right level of support
    • Everybody is client facing and the projects are set up for a lot of involvement and collaboration with them
    • If you're lucky, you get to work on some truly transformational projects with some big clients - some of the existing clients include the Metropolitan Police, MTA (New York equivalent of TfL), Lloyds.
    • Strategic projects actually lead to outcomes
    • Work in dedicated sprints so you can focus entirely on one challenge - I feel like this leads to better results, closer teams, and more productivity
    • There are somer interesting projects coming in with a focus on data and AI
    • A lot of travel opportunities - I've travelled to New York, Miami, Madrid and Paris in the last year
    • The quality of the work is really high
    • I've made many good friends here - everyone's pretty active socially and it's like a little family.

    Cons

    • Project management can sometimes be a bit of a mess especially when dealing with big remote projects with other parts of the business
    • At the moment the work is a bit saturated with financial clients and more marketing led projects but there is a desire to diversify
    • The focus has had to shift towards winning work to grow a sustainable pipeline

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening, keep communicating, keep the close nature of the team where people feel able to share what's working and what's not. Lead by example.

    I worked at Globant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some great people in Dev and UI UX- really nice people generally and very willing.

    Cons

    Plenty - poor management, poor compensation, no strategy, in-experienced people in senior delivery roles and culture of who you know not what you know or bring, leading back to the Argentinian board. Lack of trust and a few people simply 'winging-it' most of the time.

    Advice to Management

    Ask the senior people to set and stick to a strategy - learn by the people you hire and be rigorous in sharing rewards via appropriate commission and bonus payments.

    Pros

    Nice company, with AMAZING super smart people. With a great client base.

    Cons

    Very cut throat culture. Its a people business but they have been known to treat people like rubbish. Including people with 5/6 years within the company. No loyalty.

    Advice to Management

    Your people are your most valuable asset. You pretend to play the "we're all family card" when a lot and I mean a lot of really good people get treated like rubbish and leave. This is why you constantly need to hire so many people to back fill.

    Cons

    globant has been growing consistently since the begging so it's really difficult to be 100% updated

    I have been working at Globant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Beautiful offices
    * Meeting rooms are always full equipped
    * Fruit and juice twice a week
    * Comfortables desk and chairs
    * Free coffee
    * Music room (Full equipped)

    * Places full equipped to have lunch or breakfast
    * Working in consolidated teams (Depends on the client)
    * Depends on the client, you can travel to the client's offices

    Cons

    * Have been difficult to get a pay rise or a promotion.
    * After almost two years, I got a recategorization and it didn't come with more money.
    * Some hired people are software designers but do the same work as a Sr or Ssr developer
    * Some projects don't allow work from home.
    * Sometimes, service desk gives you a second-hand computer with not enough specifications (hardware/software) to work.

    I have been working at Globant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Huge company with lots of opportunities for many different profiles and expertise.

    Cons

    Experience depends too much on account and project assigned. I have worked in some different projects and they were like different companies. The experience depends too much on the leads behavior (from technical and operations side).

    Pros

    A wide range of opportunities to grow up and plenty access to corporate benefits. Globant takes into account the needs of reacreation and healthy activities that help gathering everyone toghether.

    In overall, projects are challenging and have high technical quality.

    Cons

    Seniority tends to remain static, somehow is not that easy to get a promotion.
