Pros

1. The company is funded by SEGA, and boss have fantastic business skill to get $$$, you don't need to worry the company may suddenly close down some day, unless the boss would like to do so. 2. The team is great, most people here are friendly and helpful. 3. You have unlimited drink can fetch from pantry (WOW)! Although most of them are unhealthy, but who cares? JUST DRINK AND GO BACK TO WORK! 4. You have chance to peek a great team to work on amazing project!!! BUT, sadly it is not your team ;) 5. If you are pro at being a yes man, this place is extremely suit for you :D! The company sounds so good, faster apply now before the chance slip away!!!

Cons

Bad culture 1. Boss is GOD in the company, his mighty OMFG power allows him to understand all specs of game industry, such as marketing, operation, design, art, etc... not matter how good you are, how much experience or knowledge you have, you can never superior than GOD! GOD is always right! If you dare to doubt the power of GOD, then you shouldn't be here :( 2. Sometimes GOD don't exactly know what he wants, always change the idea, and especially perfer to do last minute change, those who don't flexible enough can't be servant of GOD! 3. GOD will only listen to what he want to listen, those who dare to speak the truth to against GOD's fantastic idea will be fallen into hell and enjoy dawdling life :(!!! 4. GOD can never distiguish who is putting effort and who is slacking, please the GOD is always more important than making the company success. It should always be your first priority if you want to survive. 5. GOD may do ridiculous decision to fulfill some secret plan he has, not matter how dangerous or harmful the decision is. You foolish human beings can never understand GOD unless you stand as high as GOD and have same angle of view. 6. GOD always have double standard for different people, so make sure you are the one favor by GOD and all your mistake will be forgive. If you are not GOD's favor person, then get ready to taste the mighty wrath of GOD!!! 7. GOD can be easily cheated by outside ppl, but don't like to trust internal ppl. 8. GOD always live in the past, he don't know the market is changing rapidly. Super cold environment It is time to challenge yourself! How long can you survive from the Grim Reaper Machine? The place don't have a real air-con, it is actually Grim Reaper machine with air-con appearence! You feel very cold because it is harvesting your soul away from your body. It will only stop functioning after 8pm (plz think about extra information from this). The two poor guys sitting below the vents always fall sick due to that super soul harvesting attack. Some brave ppl like Mr. T tried to challenge that machine by wearing T-shirt and shorts, and he failed and fall sick also. We never know who will be the next victim...... In conclusion, the company isn't suitable for those who have passion to make a great game or product, please stay away from here if you are this kind of person, you may lost confidence in game industry due to that. However, if you job is only about execution but not make any decision, this company maybe suit for you, just need to wear more to defend against the Grim Reaper Machine.

Thank you for taking time to write this review. You sound very passionate about the industry so it saddens us to know that you were this unhappy while you were here. We’re aware that we are nowhere near perfect (no company is), but we’re always looking for ways to do better. We also understand that the office’s air-conditioning can be cold, but unfortunately, this is a central system that we do not have direct control over. We have installed thermostats that allow us to regulate the temperature to a small extent—but we also recognise that many still feel that it’s too cold. That’s why we give out goGame hoodies to all goGetters after their probationary period to help everyone stay warm.

not so good one

Pros

The premise is good and so is the promise. (read: verbal promise) There is good backing from companies such as SEGA. Office is great, facilities are good enough. The chairs are comfy.

Cons

Bosses shout and scream every day. Really shout and scream, not just louder voices. You will never be right. If you do something right, you are not right, your boss is right. You will never meet expectations. No empowerment except for the few people that the CEO approves of. It is always somebody else's fault and the bosses will never accept blame, it is always passed on to some unfortunate soul. It will most likely always be your fault. There is no support from the top but you will receive order after order. Ideas are never taken into consideration once bosses minds are made. You are expected to work overtime for free and people preach that salary is your incentive to work. There will always be delays for everything.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Some of us lost sleep over your review. Not because of the things you said, but because it upsets us that we have an employee who’s so unhappy about his or her work environment. We’re not perfect—but we’ve been working on being better. Slowly but surely. It’s been some time since your review, so we hope you’ve felt some of the improvements. We want to invite you to come talk to us (either CEO or HR, whoever you feel more comfortable with). Tell us, in more specific details, about the unhappiness you’re feeling. Share your suggestions. Because that’s the only way we can start to make it better. PS: We love our cleaning auntie too.

Thank you for your review, although there are some inaccuracies that we must point out. Although we’ve had several organisational changes, they definitely did not happen every month. As a fast-growing company in a fast-paced industry, we must constantly optimise the way we work to stay relevant and competitive. These changes may be frustrating for you, but we feel that it is necessary for the company. We’ve had a few different publishing directors over the years, but it’s less than four and all of them are have significant experience in the gaming industry. It’s extremely upsetting that you referred to the work we are doing as ‘scamming projects’. We’re a real company offering real services and working on real projects. We offer our clients real value that they appreciate. We operate real games that our players enjoy. It’s painful to hear that you do not believe in the work that you are doing, and how frustrated you feel here. We would like to invite you to have a chat with HR. Do reach out so that we can work together to create a better working environment for all goGetters.
