    I worked at Greenpeace full-time

    Pros

Nice working environment Friendly colleagues Good work life balance

    Cons

The internal environment sometimes could be competitive if you were in a foundation role, which was similar to a private company instead of an NGO.

  5. "Loved GP"

    4.0
    Former Employee - City Coordinator

    I worked at Greenpeace full-time

    Pros

Working at GP was empowering and built my confidence. There was a very inclusive culture, which created an enjoyable work environment. I grew a lot as a communicator, a leader, an activist, and a teammate working for GP.

    Cons

Working in a canvassing office was stressful because the quotas were pretty harsh: $150 in monthly donations every week, if you miss your quota once you go on review, if you miss it again you lose your job. The stakes were pretty high.

I have been working at Greenpeace full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    - Good holidays - (Mostly) Relaxed work environment - Interesting and varied work for some

    Cons

    - Very poor management - Significant nepotism for senior positions but strong preference for bringing in skills elsewhere rather than developing in-house talent/retaining institutional knowledge. - Negligible oversight of those in senior positions that leads to overly aggressive managers remaining in their positions.
