Pros

Low-key environment, frequent lunches, advancement opportunities, diverse workforce, flexible working conditions, good community involvement, better than some other options in the area.

Cons

Business outlook is steadily heading downhill, leading to layoffs. There's no formal process for getting a review or salary increase. The leadership team doesn't seem up to the challenge of managing a modern business. And the owner seems more interested in golf than in investing in the company.

Chaotic Mess

Pros

Constantly given work, so the days go by quick. If your supervisor likes you, you'll have an easier time.

Cons

Office politics was above and beyond atrocious. If your supervisor isn't a strong member of management or if they don't like you, don't expect anyone to go to bat for you. Cover your butt with everything, get everything in writing, or risk being thrown under the bus. The turnover is awful, and to make it worse Group O allowed a client to order them to fire people, so we had to cover work for those that got fired even though the workload never went down and in fact increased. They don't tell the client no, even if it means an entire team works overtime all night after working a full day, request in at 4pm and have to develop test and launch by 2am the same night. The more time you take off to spend with family or because of illness, the less they look at you like a dedicated employee. They want people who live to work, not those who work to live.

Held several positions throughout my time with Group O

Pros

The only pro is the friendliness of the everyday workers, the "doers".

Cons

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company changed so much from when I first started working there and not in a good way. Uneducated Senior Management that wouldn't survive 1 minute at any other company. Half of leadership went to high school together and have formed a click/club and all they worry about is taking care of and protecting one another. Terrible pay, no room for advancement, and leadership intentionally holds you down/back unless you are a part of their click. Consistently lie to clients including how the backend financials of the business truly work/operate. If you take a stand for yourself you will be shown the door. The culture within the company is you do your job, work and travel whatever hours they ask you to, and don't say a word because you will be ousted.
