I worked at Guinness Partnership full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent annual leave and training opportunities. Senior management really want to do what's best for the long term survival of the organisation.

    Cons

Career progression is nearly impossible. They often recruit externally rather than develop staff from within the organisation.

I worked at Guinness Partnership full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Money is okay but not worth it

    Cons

Tenant or employee - run a mile! Company is run by narcissists who drive people to break down frequently! Everything is done for reputation rather than staff or tenants - and keep an eye on bonuses to exec staff! Staff turnover is ridiculous as management are usually unfair, often cruel and always bullies! One of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for and will happily advise anyone to run and keep running!

I worked at Guinness Partnership full-time

    Pros

Some amazing people work here, knowledgeable, hard working, caring etc and depending on which team/department you work in it can be a very supportive and rewarding place to work. Lots of opportunities to join entry level roles without meeting the full criteria, and good pay/benefits. CEO is an inspirational leader and genuinely wants to make a difference.

    Cons

I would echo the "if your face fits" comments, career progression only comes to those who are 'in' with the right people. Poor performance is not dealt with, good performance is not recognised and no development / training is given. The people with most power are those who shout the loudest, rules do not apply for these people and whatever they say goes. This has created a toxic atmosphere which is a severe drain on mental health, there are many good employees trying to keep the services going despite these people. There is so much unrecognised potential. There is no room for upwards challenge here and there is bullying / harassment within most departments which has caused a lot of good employees to leave without securing their next employment.

I worked at Guinness Partnership full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Close to where I lived, seemed like a nice place at the start of my employment there. There are some genuinely nice people that work here.

    Cons

Where to begin: Like I said at the start it seemed like the “great place to work” that it promotes itself as, but you soon get to see the bullying, cliques, underhand and unprofessional people and lack of adhering to their own policies. All of the previous posters who mentioned “if your face fits” are completely correct, it’s all about who you know instead of skill based, or right person for the job. Same with regards to the fake posts from employees, I know someone who was asked to write a positive post on here by their manager after they had won a Star Award. If you value your career & have any self respect avoid this place like the plague. I genuinely didn’t know how miserable I’d been until about 6 weeks after I left and the fog lifted. It wears you down to the point you just accept the culture, because management don’t want / aren’t interested in change unless it benefits them.

    Pros

Really care about staff throughout CV19. Promote from within and want to offer ongoing training for your role. Management above me are supportive and always have time to listen to you. The Director in Customer Service is just superb, always has 5 minutes for you when you used to bump into him.

    Cons

Can take a while to put improvements in place. But once in, full support to get things rolling and working right
