I have been working at HUB International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work from home and hour flexibility. Decent management that is always seeking to improve operations and efficiency, focusing on making sure employees are adding value to their client's experience vs. bogged down with clerical work. Starting vacation is 10 days plus 3 days PTO and 3 floating holidays so total of 16 days off to use at employee's discretion. After 5 years you get another 5 days of vacation. After 15 you get 5 more. 401(k) matching up to 6% of salary. They do offer health benefits but I'm not familiar with them.

    Cons

Only offer 12 weeks of unpaid leave for FMLA (outside of the recently passed WA FMLA requirement). They don't celebrate Good Friday, Indigenous People's Day, Juneteenth or Veterans Day. They don't really offer part time employment except to people who were employed full time for many years. I suspect that men are paid more than women for the same jobs but they discourage talking about salaries so there's no way to know. They siphon and support men going into the higher paid roles in sales and women into the lower paid service and management positions. The sales team can feel like an "old boys club" and there are many white males who make disparaging, discriminatory or objectifying comments and jokes about women.

I have been working at HUB International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you’re looking for an organization that promotes ingenuity and exceptional opportunities, this is a great place to be. Incentives for performance and continuing education, anyone can make a lasting and progressively rewarding career here.

    Cons

All of the resources and technology can feel a little overwhelming at first. But, once you have some time to explore, it’s really amazing how well you’re set up to succeed.

I have been working at HUB International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

People in my team are all very kind and willing to provide help, this is important, especially during the pandemic period. Training was done remotely, but it doesn't affect anything. Onborading process is so good, got lots of help from HR staff. Systems are easy to use. There are lots of training sessions to attend, from personal development to how to relax yourself in tight schedule, also provide book reading lesson for employee's kid, lol. A good place to work so far:)

    Cons

Still not find a cons in current position, will update it I find one.

I have been working at HUB International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Supportive co-workers and team leaders (mostly because everyone knows how stressful because nobody really knows what's going on) - Calls are recorded but you're not really micromanaged

    Cons

    - It's just a call centre job; you sit there and pick up the phone filling out requests all day long, and half the people are already angry and you just play the middleman to explaining rates are high and there's nothing you can do to lower and management and underwriters who push to upsell and have no problem increasing rates to people knowing they don't have to explain or deal with them, making it a very mentally draining job. - Other than working in an office, not much experience you can gain from this. You can't really get valuable experience unless you want to stay here long term and just move up the ranks here, but those jobs are nothing lucrative - Base salary is just above minimum wage which does not make up for the amount of work you do - After short training periods that make you feel like you still have no idea what you're doing, you're thrown to the wolves answering phones having no idea what you're doing. - The incentives are difficult to hit and even if you hit them the reward is miniscule.
