Pros
I have joined the company in September 2019 and I have truly enjoyed my journey so far. There are so many opportunities for career progression. Also, there is always something new to learn. I have been given the opportunity to join the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and I must say it is the best workplace especially for someone who has recently joined the business. Everyone is very friendly and supportive and there is always something new to learn and you have endless opportunities to get involved in as many projects as possible and learn about the business.
Cons
There are no downsides of working at Hanson.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Hanson UK full-time for more than a year
Pros
If you have relatives in management, you’ll enjoy all the opportunities before the rest.
Cons
Oh, nightmare, I think it is by far the worst organisational culture I have seen, very dodgy practices and oh very unprofessional employees and management, IQ level very low and the topics of conversation my my, if you want an easy job where you can dress almost anyhow with no codes of behaviour or fairness or equal opportunities at work and if you consider yourself comfortable amongst barbarics then this is the place for you.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI worked at Hanson UK full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Good wage for an apprenticeship scheme
Cons
Low morale within the staff, poor management (angry, sexist, bullying, demanding respect rather than earning it), disorganised training scheme (barely knew what I was supposed to be doing at all).
