I have been working at Havas Media full-time

    Pros

Lots of genuinely nice people. Haven't met anyone I dislike yet. Lovely office in great location. Lots of fun little perks. Ongoing efforts to make company more inclusive, social, diverse and forward-thinking. My workload has been totally fine, I know it's not the same for others. Lots of workshops, training, wellbeing initiatives, events.

    Cons

Allocation of workloads across staff and teams isn't very good. Onboarding process when I joined was terrible and practically non-existent. You have to push quite a bit for personal/career development with immediate team and line manager. Some of the "all talk no trousers" culture about change and progression but that's very common across the media industry. I don't feel that anyone above business director level has any impact or value on my patch of clients, except one fairly senior individual who makes an effort to get involved. Internal communication not always great. Staff turnover is awful, so many people leaving, very few people actually care about the company.

    Advice to Management

Consider how senior management can add actual value to day to day tasks and client management and relationships, and make actual progress happen
    Sort out onboarding process
Take advantage of staff who have quiet patches and ensure they are enabled to help out the busiest teams
Encourage line managers to be more proactive
Recognise differences and nuances of clients, there's no one size fits all
Ensure leaving employee feedback given in exit interviews and appraisals is actioned. You must be spending a fortune on recruitment!

I have been working at Havas Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

New leadership team is a breath of fresh air. Really strong female leadership as part of that team which provides great role models for the agency, and really impressed with recent round of promotions and new role of client partners in planning team. Recognition of talent seems to be core to their strategy of driving the agency forward. I feel positive about the future and clear about what I need to do to progress.

    Cons

Teams feel workload pressures at times, but, that is agency life. Same in my previous roles.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Feels as though the more challenging times are being put behind the agency. Keep open & transparent dialogue with your agency.

I worked at Havas Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked at havas for over a year - it was my first job when moving to London.
It is a great office in kings cross and everyone is young- lots of perks for working there like free bar, in house chefs etc.
    Good holiday

    Cons

Long hours, underpaid, high turnover, political at the top, little room for progression in some of the teams, bullying by some members of staff.

    Advice to Management

don't hire managers just because they get stuff done, hire the managers because they are good at managing people and you may retain more staff.
