The product vision is not clear and there is an absence of processes and planning which creates confusion amongst all departments. This ultimately stems from a lack of leadership. Haystax prides themselves in autonomy and no micromanagement. However, it's to the point where you honestly don't know what you're supposed to be doing.
They have no problem dropping money on things like a keg, espresso machine, drinks at restaurants, etc. but have trouble paying for tools/resources for workers.
Every workplace is not without this, but on numerous occasions gender discrimination against women was obvious.
Workers are not part of the hiring process. It seems that senior leadership has the only say in who will be hired.
The all-hands meetings always brought to light issues going on within the company but action was never taken to correct these issues.
