I have been working at Hermes Investment Management full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Modern offices albeit a little cramped. Decent pension contributions.

    Cons

Low morale. High staff turnover with good people leaving of their own volition and many others biding their time. Bad behaviours and poor performance from several senior managers which ExCo and HR have failed to address adequately. Too much focus on one investment desk. Slow and frequently unstable systems.

I have been working at Hermes Investment Management full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Pension contributions, a decent number of good people (many of whom have left, are leaving or intend to leave), bonus (however salaries are lower and the company advocates higher salaries/lower bonuses at other companies)

    Cons

If you are white/male/middle-class/went to the right unis/excel at flattering your superiors you will do well here. If you don't fall into these categories, then you will struggle. Managers in charge who do not have a clue. Despicable behavior displayed by some which would have got them in trouble in other places but they are still sitting pretty here. Office politics dictates life at Hermes, work not so much. I have not met a single person who sings the praises of this company so am very dubious of the previous glowing review.
