Pros

None - Company is making mass redundancies throughout the whole company - I would state the company does not have another 12 months in it. Internal communications show that revenues are decreasing month on month.

Cons

Extremely poor senior and local management Communication is non existent - The 1st you know of a new product or process is when a customer queries it Company is making numerous layoffs in US and closed the Texas Office Company made 180 redundancies in May in the UK and a further 450 more announced this week with the closure of the Manchester & Glasgow offices.

Pros

Nice on-the-ground staff with varied skills and a fantastic attitude. Great products with potential. A strong client base and an excellent team of sales staff.

Cons

Management haven't a clue. Flexi-contracts are abused and staff are left in limbo between temporary and permanent - 6-month rolling contracts are still being handed to staff after four years' service. No progression options - manager roles not offered in a fair manner. Example: one manager was coached for her interview 15 minutes before it happened, by the interviewer! And obviously got the job. Senior management hand promotions to family and friends, not on merit. Excellent staff demoted/contracts not renewed because they don't fit in with the cliquey atmosphere. Targets fiddled by managers to make their stats look good: but staff still disciplined for not meeting targets. Extra duties continually added to role until it has become unrecognisable when compared to original appointment. Staff told that HR cannot be contacted, except through a manager - no way to seek advice or information regarding life at the company. Information on intranet also pulled. Reports of bullying in office often raised by staff re managers; usually forcibly denied by senior management. Ridiculously high attrition rate - joke in the office was that someone would quit every Friday afternoon, and this was pretty much true. Four in one week once. Many staff made redundant and then their role outsourced to freelance staff. The in-house role readvertised a few months later. After a year's solid service, the freelance staff then dismissed with less than 24hrs notice when the company pulled work back in-house - where it's also a ghost town with constant recruitment as managers try to justify their jobs, but with nothing for the staff to do but twiddle their thumbs and hope for work to come in. Now outsourcing their copy to India, with more job cuts looming. A company that should have gone under years ago, but somehow is clinging on for now. On the way out, not worth the risk. AVOID.

Pros

I made some good friends there. But chose to leave... The grass is definitely greener when you leave.

Cons

Managers are MAKING staff go on to Glass Door to leave a good review. Staff were chased and questioned if they didn't do it!!! Terrible managers that don't listen, redundancies made every year for 5/6 years on the run, unachievable bonus, long working hours. Staff moan all day long about bad management, not liking management and all the problems with the place. Everyone worries constantly that they'll be next on the hit list for redundancies so it makes for a terrible working environment.

I just want to reassure you that we do not endorse in any way a a policy of asking our employees to leave positive reviews. We do indeed encourage employees to leave reviews but we stress the importance of these reviews being open and honest; that is why we believe so wholeheartedly in the "OpenDoor" philosophy that Glassdoor advocate.
