lots more opportunity to own parts of the prod dev cycle -- was previously at a FAANG company, got relegated there to a tiny part of the cycle that I didn't even fully understand the purpose of? At Hivemapper I'm in weekly meetings with the CTO, meeting with GIS analysts, etc. CTO is also a big pro for me. He knows what he's doing, and has an active hand in our work when we need it. Cool benefits package too. Crypto and stock options = double hand in potential upside? If any engineer is looking for their unicorn startup, here it is.

recruiting process used to take longer, I hear it's now been shortened to 1.5 weeks or so.
