I worked at Hogan Lovells full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Large international company with great benefits (cycle scheme, season ticket loan, free eye tests, discounts at nearby dentist/restaurants/salons etc) The main building has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Equipped gym in basement with classes, lockers and showers. Bike storage Cafeteria and 'coffee shop' with healthy options at discounted prices Fairly even in gender divide

    Cons

Bonus scheme is rubbish for support staff. Lucky to receive a bonus and if you do it will be less than £500 They've outsourced most of the office services staff (switchboard, repro etc) leading to a drop in service standards Career progression if you're support staff is non-existent

    Advice to Management

Look after your support staff, not just your lawyers.

I have been working at Hogan Lovells full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Large scale international firm, dealing with FX, reporting issues with other international offices such as China, Hanoi, Australia.

    Cons

Finance department severely lacks infrastructure. Very much a blame type culture with finance management not taking ownership for overall operations. Not supportive to current employees. Although it is a good law firm, the other departments such as finance lack resources. Wouldn't recommend working there as a non-lawyer.

    Advice to Management

Send more resources into non-frontline operations, conduct employee satisfaction surveys.
