I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun atmosphere, good discount on clothes, nice managers, good student, flexible job

    Cons

Have to spend a lot on the uniform which is hard when you only work part time. Usually only 5 hour long shifts which isn't ideal if you're travelling a far distance.

    Advice to Management

Give us longer shifts and work out a uniform scheme so we don't have to buy new uniform every couple of months

    Pros

Bragging rights of calling yourself a model! Friends think its quite cool, good way to impress girls.

    Cons

Very very boring job with useless bosses.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving the staff around, be more dynamic.

I have been working at Hollister Co. part-time

    Pros

Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and interesting job! Loved it! I would definatkey work in a hollister store again very enjoyable.

    Cons

Can be very hot and if you are looking for a permemenant and reliable job regarding hours this may not be the one as they are given whenever and are zero hour contacts.

    Advice to Management

Keep the positive review notes as this is very formal and helps to know where you stand as an employee. Keep young management as they are easier to get along with.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Other staff were friendly, quite an easy job, short shifts, easy to expand customer service skills, easy to swap/pick up shifts

    Cons

Management are rude and lack experience, often got sent home after 30 mins of shift because they didn't have enough hours to give everyone, management had favourites

    Pros

Flexible hours, great social atmosphere and good discounts (the triple A early season ones)

    Cons

Part time means getting hours are hard, can be boring when the store is quiet.

    Pros

Great place to make friends who are sociable and outgoing

    Cons

Can get a bit tiring saying 'Hey, How's it going' a million times a day.
Folding clothes is a bit of a pain too

    Advice to Management

    Train the junior managers better

    Pros

Was easy to swap shifts. Zero hour contract meant they were always employing which meant you could always go back to them.

    Cons

After first few weeks was given far less shifts as they are always employing people so like to give shifts to newbies. Not much to do just stood in the shop.

I worked at Hollister Co. as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with really fun and lovely employees. Everyone gets on including managers with staff, and there is lots if social integration, out for drinks at the pub, clubs, and for dinners. Also charity events where managers can socialise too like bowling ect. Good staff discount, good music, fair pay, not too strict just focus on good customers service, fun incentives with other stores in the UK, secret shoppers used to be a big thing in 2014 I don't think they do it anymore but it was a fun incentive for knowing you were delivery good customer service and tag lining ect. 0 hr contract so flexible with uni/college and taking holiday. Easy shift swapping on a Facebook page with your store, work as much or as little as you want however management will notice this and you might not get as many shifts when you need them! So try and show your face as much as you can. Best student job, I miss it so much!!

    Cons

No real cons for me, but for others they might not get shifts when they need them, luckily I was always in the rota for days that I was available (work hard and get hours. Simple)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a great job, you are all so lovely and work hard to make us has a fun, lively and happy shift! Be a manager who does room swaps regularly, buys Starbucks for the model who's opening the store at 7:30 and cleaning, and who has fun and directs well. Then you will live up to the managers that I had. Can't say these protocols are the same as 2014 as I know a lot of changes have happened with store opening and room changing but that's all I can base it on!

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Pay the living wage, less perfume spraying, less noise, more light, less flip flops

    Pros

I could not think of a better job to have alongside university. Hours are very very flexible, you can work as little as you want.
The work is not hard either at all.

    Cons

I would not rely on Hollister for a living wage. It is great working as little as you want, but on the opposite end of the scale, you would rarely get more than 12 hours a week if you wanted it.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes management on the shop floor can clash. One manager will tell you one thing, then another will be wondering why you are doing another thing.
