    Advice to Management

Train new managers thoroughly, as some of them have no idea what they're doing.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Completely flexible. Shifts are done on a 2 week basis, if you cannot attend a shift last minute there are loads of staff who will be willing to do it for you.
    - Great working environment. A complete buzz with great people.
    - Training provided.
    - Uniform provided.
    - Staff discount.

    Cons

    - Very selective on who they employ. You have to suit the brand. You have to have the look. If you don't expect some snobbery. They do not adhere to equal employment opportunities.
    - Salary is very low for Central London retail - especially high end.
    - You have to say those tag lines. If the manager catches you not doing it ... oh dear, it's not worth the wrath so just say them.

    Advice to Management

    - Really get to know all of your team. Don't choose your favourites and just treat them well, or if you continue to have your favourites try not to show it in front of customers.
    - Manage your finances! A huge amount of 50-100 employees were let go due to company financial issues. Who knows what their keeping selection process was.

Meet loads of new people as its constantly changing
    Can change to other stores

    Cons

Young managers so a lot of them do not have a lot of managing experience and do not know how to manage the team effectively.

    Advice to Management

    Better training for the magaers

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time

    Pros

    -Easy interview
    -Flexible hours
-Good if your a uni student
    -Discount

    Cons

Management team was possibly one of the worst management I have ever experienced. They fire staff without telling them for no reason by taking them off there system without an explanation which I find disgusting. Make staff to pushy towards customers.

    Advice to Management

Be nice to your staff, and you will see your staff more motivated to work there.
When your planning on firing staff at least tell them face to face instead of taking them off the system.
Treat people how you want to be treated.
