I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Constant opportunities within the company that allow for both personal and professional development. Huawei focuses heavily on it's employees providing all sorts of training, activities and mentorship which bolster key traits whether you have just graduated or are a senior professional. Huawei rewards employees on performance and value brought to the company making it easy to rise through the ranks if you do well.

    Cons

There will most likely be a language and culture barrier in the beginning. New employees might not be able to immediately deal with the high pressure, as the company is heavily based on results.

I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time for more than a year

    Pros

In my relatively short time with the company I would say: - challenging work - knowledgeable colleagues to learn from - recognition for achievements - various projects to work on - everyday is different - being trusted to deliver - learning about culture and values -

    Cons

Language/communication can be a challenge rarely but this just means you have an opportunity to learn something new

I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding environment out of university it is a great option. All the staff have been very supportive and given all the support I have needed to develop my business skills, with regular 1:1 meetings with senior experienced members of the company to guide me, as well as being given extensive training courses in soft skills. If you prove that you can handle responsibility and drive forward your team then it is quickly recognized. The office also has its own Costa coffee and free gym passes.

    Cons

You need to be driven, the environment is challenging

I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I joined Huawei as a Project Manager in September 2019 after a competitive selection procedure, through the company’s graduate scheme. I am currently based in the company’s head offices in the UK, in Reading. I assumed several responsibilities from day one while at the same time I embarked on a well-planned induction and training programme that involved training in Reading, Birmingham, Dusseldorf, Milan. Unfortunately missed out on Madrid due to the onset of Covid-19. I had close mentoring, guidance, and feedback throughout my employment which I found very practical and constructive and at the same time, as a programmer, I was encouraged and actually proposed ideas and improvements in areas where I had more advanced skills. Although the business environment is generally pleasant and flexible, the fast pace of the high tech industry requires lots of reserves of stamina, resolve, and determination. There is an opportunity to work and share experiences with other professionals in Reading and abroad. Good working conditions, sports teams that everyone is welcomed to join, quite decent restaurant especially if you are a fan of spicy Chinese cuisine, and organisation of various events. Chinese New Year’s party not to be missed.

    Cons

    Nothing of importance so far.
