Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Huddle has great company culture, the work/life balance is really good, with somewhat flexible hours. It's greatest assets is it's employees, everyone is really friendly and in the almost 3 years i worked there i enjoyed coming into the office every single day!
Process is very hindering and management can be slow to respond to employee requests. Career progression is also quite hard as there is a lacking system where employees can see what is required of them at the next level and strive towards improving themselves to get there.

work life balance is important and key, leadership is open to suggestions, ideas and feedback from everyone in the company. Transparency is there, its always hard to include everyone in big decisions, but there is open communication and direction
Internal promotions should be increased to keep key personnel and encourage tenure. There have been a lot of external hires in the past 6 months, which is great to add additional skills, but there are a tremendous amount of excellent performers internally that should be up-leveled to retain.Continue reading
