I have been working at Hurtigruten full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great product. Amazing onboard experience. Great NPS. The concern with the environment is not a publicity stunt but a a mandatory lifestyle approach if you want to work here. No micro management in my team.

    Cons

Upper management is not to be seen. They try to seel the Scandinavian flat structure approach but would not be seen dead next to you for lunch.... Local office heads are far from the leader type. Huge problems with employee engagement and team communication. London office has a very poor dynamic. No place to grow. Progression is almost impossible. Salaries are low in the UK office. Big difference in salaries (Heads earn almost 3x more than members of their teams)

    I worked at Hurtigruten

    Pros

Great product, and interesting to work with head office in Norway. Some very inspirational people in London too.

    Cons

Lacks understanding of the U.K. market and tends to want to do everything as it is in Norway even with clear evidence it doesn't work in this country

    I worked at Hurtigruten full-time

    Pros

Norway is a beautiful place, so at least the brochure pictures are pretty and if you get to visit, it's a lovely experience if you enjoy the sea.

    Cons

The directors have no issue bullying and humiliating staff in public, in front of colleagues. They reward laziness and allow hard workers to fall to extreme stress levels with absolutely no consequence. Never been so appalled.
