I have been working at IFDS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good and friendly people with adequate work load. The office although a fair distance from my own address is easy to locate and within walking distance of the highstreet.

    Cons

becoming less family orientated from when i first started. There is not enough on site parking so you have to park at one of the local town centre parking locations, this is at the cost of the company but is still a little frustrating in bad whether. There are too many manager for managers sake, which dilutes it's worth.

    Advice to Management

maintain the family orientated feel to the business. only promote those that truely deserve it based on the work they carry out, not by creating roles to promote people just because their face fits.

    Cons

Training could be a lot better instead of being trained by your own colleagues.
    No training structure.
Workload can be overwhelming at times.

    I worked at IFDS full-time

    Pros

Various locations, so can work in a “local” or city environment. Large company so possibly opportunities to move to different departments.

    Cons

Good induction program but poor on the job training. General lack of support and encouragement. Can be restrictive towards ideas put forward by new starters. Don’t expect large pay rises or bonuses, but expect long hours with lack of appreciation.

    Advice to Management

    Question the high turnover rates.

    I worked at IFDS full-time

    Pros

A good local company, offer great career progression opportunities to hard working employees

    Cons

I enjoyed my time at IFDS but it didn't offer the same challenges and working environment of London. While the pay is good for outside of London there was more opportunities and earning potential in London.

I worked at IFDS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Employees I worked with were great, we always look for improvement and look for challenge in new technology. A lot of good people with good vision.

    Cons

Senior management is absolute a joke. If they want to help their friends, they will just create a new position which is not necessary so they can have puppet to control. They recently make redundant with senior manager , telling everyone to keep quite about it. For over 10 years of services, no thank you just vanish! They are very tricky about how they charge clients and projects they just swap things around for fun.

Many senior managers get promoted but they have no idea what they are doing , lower position has to tell them what is going on and telling them what to do ( This is because they are not selected by experiences but they selected by how close they are with the senior management ) If you are pals to them, you will be fine concepts

Bully tactics - If you are against the senior management , they make sure your life at work is difficult. and if you start report this to HR, your secret won't save because they are friends! whatever you said, if will come back to bite you.

    Advice to Management

Hope the new DST management will have a better vision, find out , investigate into lower level and see what is actually going on. Why the company is going down. A lot of messages haven't been delivered. The communication gets lost along the way.
