I worked at IKEA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Subsidised meals and a few good benefits with stores, including cinemas

    Cons

Quality of meals dependent on location, some roles and departments are more stressful than others when the majority of sales co-workers earn the same pay. Work is shift-based, and being able to swap shifts was difficult and convoluted. With irregular shift patterns it was difficult to plan activities outside work, meaning that I missed events and meeting obligations for task in person life was difficult, and so my life felt like it was all about work.

I have been working at IKEA part-time

    Pros

Quite good benefits, fantastic company values and actions. Great, varied group of co-workers, very inclusive and caring people.

    Cons

(All these comments are about the local store) Company values not adhered to by management. Bad communication skills. Even large issues and mistreatment of power and responsibilities ignored or swept under the rug.
