I have been working at IKEA part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

IKEA is a great part-time retail job for me. There are great benefits even for part-time workers, and they treated their employees very well throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Cons

I don't think working in retail is for me long-term (however I think IKEA must be one of the best retail employers out there).

I worked at IKEA full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Everyone is friendly. Company has great benefits for a retail company. Somewhat flexible shifts

    Cons

Retail is struggling and IKEA can't keep up. Technology is old and changes take too long. Pay can be good but is dependent on several aspects, and if they don't fall your way you can get paid significantly less for doing the same job as someone else

I have been working at IKEA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunities to grow your career in any area. IKEA will even train you for any position. There is no limits to where you can grow with IKEA. .Great benefits plus so much more.

    Cons

The pay is ok, for the amount of work I personally do, I think the pay should be raised for specialists who have so much work to get done in just a 8 hour shift. Sometimes people speak down to you because you haven't been with the company a certain amount of years and expect you to do exactly how they did it once.
