    Pros

Benefits package is very good. CRAs are eligible for a 2 week sabbatical every 2 years which must be taken all at once. It's 2 weeks additional PTO.

    Cons

Like any other CRO they push hard. Like any other road warrior job in the industry, you are paid well for your soul.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the sabbatical program. Work life balance is kind of a joke for traveling monitors in general. Money helps, but there's a reason burnout is so high.

I have been working at INC Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really great training and career development opportunities.
Open door policy on any given issue.
Transparency with quarterly goals, revenue, and company future/ outlook.
Internal Quality Issue tracking database for all study-related issues and audits.
Indication/ Therapeutic area-focused business units for clinical staff all the way up to ClinOps directors. Everyone is approachable.
Diligent focus on task assignment and accountability; encourages "can do it" mentality and provides tools necessary.

    Cons

No annual bonus for Clinical staff not completing monitoring visits. There are various incentives for conducting observation visits and the days spent at an IM or face to face visit with a Sponsor, but it really doesn't compare to an annual bonus. Agree CRAs should take priority in compensation/ bonus structure, but to only hand out merit increases each year to everyone else is a bit of a bummer.

I have been working at INC Research full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Energetic place to work. People are friendly and work professionally. Great work-life balance. Great support from upper management.

    Cons

Very small team. Small office space. Lack of some benefit compare to others CROs (ie. annual health check, flexible benefit. )

    Advice to Management

Great support so far. Could be better in the way of career path planing and job promotion.

I worked at INC Research (More than a year)

    Pros

Starting salary was good. The company offers the standard benefits. There are no other pros that I can think of.

    Cons

The company does not offer a pleasant work environment and much of the time the demands are unreal. There is no fairness in management and you can only move up if you are on the favor side of a particular manager. In general a lot of favoritism.

    Advice to Management

There are two major things that I expect from managers: fairness and clear communication skills. I was not able to find these while working at the company.

I worked at INC Research full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good on boarding experience (only two days), good benefits, lots of things to make you feel engaged. Great website. Nice awards program.

    Cons

Resourcing is terrible. Territory for monitors is the whole US which leads to quick burnout. If you say anything you get labelled disgruntled. High turnover of CRAs so sites are messy. Clients seem dissatisfied. Middle Management can be rude and poorly trained. Constantly changing line manager - 4 in a year.

    Advice to Management

To upper management-Lots of good theories in trusted process model but you forgot that all important player- the monitors of the study. Monitors seem to be low man on totem pole with no say and just tossed around. Listen to why they are leaving- your middle management is only giving you half the story. Talk to monitors before you only have contractors left.

    Pros

    Recognize hard work.
    Opportunities to earn quarterly bonus.
    Great work environment
Don't travel more than one time zone.
    Opportunity for growth and promotion.

    Cons

Turn around for paying expenses can be long. However it is on the corporate card. Of course some people may see a corporate card as a con too.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to recognize hard workers

I worked at INC Research as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They require 8+ days onsite per month, not including travel. If you like being away, this is your company.

    Cons

You're rated during your first IMV. No real protocol training. Lots of work; terribly managed. Heavy site loads (15-20)!

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting sponsor dollars. Speak to people before constantly reporting them to HR for minor issues. Reimburse expenses quicker.
