I have been working at Imperial College London full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great learning environment. No rush for publications. Technology development and fundamental research are a priority. There is a 'postdoc development center' which works with skill development. Lots of option for networking and learning.

    Cons

The campus is small, small seating space.

    Advice to Management

Give postdocs a bit larger space to seat.

I have been working at Imperial College London full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay compared to other London universities of a similar ranking and with an improved pay progression scale. Good staff discounts. Communication and admin in the Materials Department is really good.

    Cons

Finding space for meetings etc. is very tough during term time and there always seems to be noisy maintenance going on.

    Advice to Management

More initiatives to bring staff from different departments together could be beneficial. Communication about pension information when joining as a new member of staff was lacking.
