Pros

Free lunch every Tuesday (everyone) and the last Friday of each month (our department). Laid back work environment. Fun events throughout the year. Snacks provided at the beginning of each week (gone by Thursday, if that long). Automated raised desks. Free VPS. Wellness activities that can result in prizes. Casual dress requirements. Standard benefits package (vision, dental, medical, insurance, 401K,etc.)

Cons

PTO as an incentive for sales, rather than something we could actually benefit from. Time off = not making money. Suspect and questionable management leadership with poorly thought out procedures and policies as well as implementing changes. Blind leading the blind. Zero professional development (no one I know of has been able to take advantage of the up to $1K reimbursement for classes). Bait and switch hiring tactics. Low pay. Generic software programs for day to day use (Libre rather than MS products) Low quality/poorly implemented CRM (Sugar) Expectation to handle multiple chats and incoming calls simultaneously +whatever followup tasks (research) you might have

Pros

Free lunch on Tuesdays unless volume is so huge that management forces you to skip it, which does happen VERY often.

Cons

Don't let a family member get extremely ill, the management at IMH, doesn't give two craps about that. They expect you to chose the job over a sick family member no matter what. Don't expect your nut-less team leads to stick up for you either, they're all so scared of S.B. that they would rather kiss his rear than to stick up for valuable employees. This includes getting cussed out by some of the rudest customers you will ever run into, in your life. But then again, what can you expect from someone who came right out and said "I care more about these customers, than ANY of you in this room right now" Do yourselves a favor, stay as FAR away from this place as possible. And all of these 4 and 5 star reviews you see up here, they all belong to the owners of the company and current managers who work there.

Pros

Casual dress code, abundance of problems to solve which can help you learn new topics. You get to meet some pretty cool people, but morale is typically down and you relate to each other around problems instead of solutions. If you're able to maintain your sanity and keep your head down through a lot of the problems at the company there is some potential career advancement opportunities. But once you've gone up a level or two your options quickly dwindle and it's almost as if they'd like to see you move on.

Cons

Broken company culture with departments not working together as one unit, with borderline scammy business practices even for the hosting industry. Typical employee seems to be overworked and under appreciated, and if you side with customers the environment can become very hostile. The higher ups are on the West coast with mainly marketing and business development type folks, while support is on the East coast. This leads to a great disconnect in how the owners perceive their company and the actual daily going ons. The company is not very nimble at all and typically not very proactive but reactive to issues, this leads to stressful overworked periods of time where they cancel entire department's lunch breaks to try to keep up with everything.
