Pros

-- Awesome rate of change, at least when I was working there. The company was attempting to restructure the product so at that time the was a lot to learn and do. -- The new architecture was very well thought out and the plan was good. -- The leads/heads of a few teams are very understanding. If you get lucky and get assigned to them, you can speak your mind frankly knowing they will suggest things and how to make the most of the situation. -- No idea about the others, but in the Tech side, if you can prove yourself, ownership of the task is yours and no one will teach you how to do your job.

Cons

-- The upper brass doesn't care if you live or die. Actually it easier if you die cause the work gets done and no one gets paid. -- Absolutely no monetary or tangible incentives. If you are having a bad day, hey take this short movie competition and this Zumba class. Who needs money or bonuses for their family right? -- The HR department has no idea why it even exists there. Half the HRs are just plain clueless, half feel helpless and no one has ever touched any literature on how to motivate the techies. Or would ever want to. This is important cause there are a lot of tech guys. -- Again, you get to break mountains for them for peanuts. How cool is that? In fact, for this privilege they offer you, you have to appear on Saturdays and Sundays too! Awesome! -- You want to get appreciated for all that hard work. Here, have this glossy paper with your name on it. This counts as a legit certificate of honor right?.. -- They play really bad games when you try to leave. I was lucky because I was adamant, but I heard some horror stories and seen a few too. -- The tech guys (other than the top tier) are just treated like slaves and beggars. -- As a larger point, Sales is the company DNA. No matter how crappy, unstable, messed up the idea, however obviously broken the concept, if it increases the short term immediate sales numbers, you can be sure man hours will be wasted on that. -- And screw you if you pointed it out, you were not hired for this. Just do your damn job! -- In general, don't go there hoping to build a great product or create something fresh. Just do your damn job like you are told to! The sad part is, it even holds for the Product guys, albeit less strongly. -- On election day, the government had passed an order to close shop. So how do you make up for "lost productivity"? Why, by showing up on another holiday of course! :)
