I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very interesting work. Opportunity to learn and contribute to leading edge technologies. Top pay and benefits. Compensation is merit based. Stock options too.

    Cons

Super competitive work culture. Long hard days. Intense pressure to produce results. Little appreciation unless you're one of the fast track, super-star performers. Steady performers that meet their deliverables without fanfare will not succeed.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Some teams have a very relaxed environment, you can learn a lot if you are with the right team. Everything depends on the manager and the work.

    Cons

There are some managers who have no self-respect because they think that they will get fired easily. It's very demotivating to work with such people.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, by giving them proper training. Also, increase the salary range to proper Bay Area standard salary.

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Incredibly smart and talented co-workers
Great work-life balance most of the time (there are always exceptions)
    Consistent and fair compensation
    Great benefits

    Cons

    Incredibly difficult to navigate
Very silo'd organizations that make it hard to break through for collaboration
Process, process, process --almost to a fault; sometimes you just want to get things done!

    Advice to Management

Continue to TRUST the very smart people you've hired to do the right things. Everything doesn't need approval. If someone doesn't act like an adult and abuses the privilege, time to move them on!!
