I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Location relative to all other Silicon valley businesses. Worldwide campuses. Still lead in desktop/server-class processors. Willing to move around to other divisions if interests/skills permit.

    Cons

Working hours, but that is par for any silicon valley tech company. Employee training. Employee retention. Huge turnover to other divisions when management doesn't listen to employee concerns.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the concerns of people. Focus on retaining individuals. Make sure people feel appreciated.

    Pros

    - Merit-based culture
    - Work hours are respected, overtime is uncommon unless crunch mode

    Cons

    Advice to Management

To BK: Keep ramping up focus on your intern program, it's getting competitive out there!

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A place you can propose whatever you want as long as opportunity just beside you. Job secure will be there as you are agile enough to accept any challenging until end of your life.

    Cons

Intel used number to cut their talents without really know what is the talent needed for their business, A person who always make use others result and more exposure will be the one climb faster than those who really good in productivity and high technical . This will make company lose a lot talents where really no idea what will happen for its future....

    Advice to Management

Please hire someone who really appreciate talents more than someone only know 'clean boss's shoes'. Please value software engineer because software will more important compare to talking talking engineer.
