I worked at Ipsos full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Really great colleagues. Most people are great which must be rare. Especially considering the size of the business - Very competent at what they do - Mostly interesting work - A good career stepping stone

    Cons

    - No clear progression guidelines, especially affecting juniors - Leadership is a problem area. It is often assumed tgat things just happen by themselves - Antiquated approach to technology - Probably too big for its own sake. It is very difficult to implement any significant changes - Not sufficiently productive which translates to slightly below average pay and potentially, long hours - Shocking lack of a coherent and clear vision. A new 'strategy' is being introduced but some months in, still only few understand what it is meant to achieve. Often, the company is chasing too many goals at once then not achieving anything of substance

    Advice to Management

    - Make very clear what the new business programme really means in concrete terms - Don't publicise strategies that are incomplete or unfinished - Invest in juniors - Invest in IT, development and R and D
