      Pros

Massive change over the last few years. We use modern technology in G Suite, Jira, Slack, Zoom etc. It does make you feel like we are current. Great package of benefits (Cash Plan, Pension, Private Health, Share scheme) and have just announced a paid long weekend benefit from Jan 2022 which I have to applaud. Good approach to flexible working with options to buy more holidays. In my experience the staff are all hard working and love to help each other. Management always feel approachable.

      Cons

Moving away from traditional teams to an engagement led resource model feels like it needs a lot more time to bed in. Workload is high and pressure is on. Long hours, early starts and weekend work is commonplace. No cost of living pay increases.

      Stuck in a rut

Nov 24, 2021 - Senior Software Engineer in Leatherhead, England

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Decent salary, good benefits, office atmosphere was good, with generally friendly colleagues

      Cons

It could be very stressful, I felt that there were several people who were in management positions that didn't really know how to manage people, and instead put people under increasing pressure. At times the atmosphere could be toxic, there was a lack of leadership at a local level, communication was very poor. There was a real struggle to break down the natural silo's that appear from buying companies and attempting to integrate them. Although upper management put an emphasis on wellbeing it didn't really translate to the local level, opportunities to progress were very limited, there were some obvious cliques and if you were not in them it could make you feel like an outsider. It felt like the rewards went to the ones who were "seen" rather than those doing the hard work.
