I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours are good as well as the pay and you get 50% discount on shift and 20 % off shift

    Cons

Seems like if you are new they give you all the stuff nobody else wants to do and managers get free food on shift which isn't fair

    Advice to Management

Everyone should eat free on shift other pub companies do this

    I worked at J D Wetherspoon part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Money coming in when I didn't have other options

Easy interview - identical at all Wetherspoons bars, if you fail one, you know the answers ready for another one

    Cons

    Hours always changed last minute

Managers would 'clock' in and out on your behalf - illegal as far as I know

Regularly bringing in too many staff when the day was quiet, then people sending home without pay

Not allowed to keep your tips

Told it was a full time job at the interview - first day there I find out it's zero hours contract

    Advice to Management

Let your staff have their hours two weeks in advance

Stop clocking in and out on behalf of staff
