    Pros

    Cons

Unfortunately no music is available which can be a little frustrating, many customers don't understand why it's not available nd I found myself explaining on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Get music! It boosts morale to amongst staff & customers alike.

Hi, and thanks for your review. We do have some Lloyds pubs with music. You mention your pub had a good atmosphere without music though, and our customers tell us they like being able to have a good chat without music interrupting them. Thanks again

I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Warm welcoming, they make you feel relaxed and aren't looking to catch you out. Teams gel well together and have good customer satisfaction.

    Cons

Can sometimes get very busy and stressful but it's nothing we can't handle. Sometimes very odd shifts that start very early in the morning but again, not really a problem

    Advice to Management

    Nothing

    Pros

Social life - other colleagues were fun to work with.

Management - found managers to be rude, disrespectful, mean-spirited and abusive. Standards were inconsistent between bars.

    Advice to Management

Your managers are bullies, your standards are inconsistent.

    I worked at J D Wetherspoon

    Pros

When working for Wetherspoons you get a good laid back family vibe. All the staff get along, meaning that the pub functionality is flawless.

    Cons

Staff get same tasks over and over. No rotation on what staff where doing. Same staff get sent home early if the pub was quiet.

    Advice to Management

Introduce a rotation scheme to staff, giving bar staff to change what they do all the time. This way staff could have good knowledge on all aspects of the job. When the pub is quiet, send a few experienced staff home so newer staff can be trained while the pub is quiet.
