    I worked at J D Wetherspoon full-time

    Pros

Staff get discounted food and drinks during their shift and outside their shift at all pubs - enjoyable food and drink too.

    Cons

Low level management very rude and unfriendly, breaks are sparse and short, wages low for work done. Job roles switched around to suit (bar staff working as cleaners, kitchen and floor workers)

    Advice to Management

Fairer breaks for staff and a staff room (the pub I worked at meant you would have to stand in the back or smoking area on break). Higher wages, very low for workload.

    I worked at J D Wetherspoon part-time

    Pros

The best thing about working at Spoons is the discount food and drinks as well as the great staff. The camaraderie is great and you'll make life long friends. The monthly bonus is nice too.

    Cons

Dealing with difficult customers. Relatively low pay. High staff turnover.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your staff. Pay more to keep the best members from going elsewhere. Pay staff a decent wage.
