A Great Company, especially to begin your career

4 Feb 2021 - SEP Software Engineer II in Glasgow, Scotland, Scotland

    Pros

This is a great company to begin your career in tech, or any other sector of the firm. You get out of it what you put in. - Vast Resources, trainings and certifications all provided. - Great people to work with at all levels of the firm. - Pay is very competitive, plus health and dental options. - Flexible working conditions, Flexi-time, supportive of families, remote working infrastructure is world-leading.

    Cons

    - Still a high amount of bureaucracy, makes it hard to innovate. - Not a clear path for lateral moves, promotions can be vague too. - Unpaid overtime, a lot of weekends worked too in order to support deployments/maintenance. - Can be up to luck how good your manager is, some are brilliant others are just doing it for the CV. - People who don't see or work with you on a daily basis decide your salary, no room for negotiation. - A lot of office politics, the highly Americanised corporate culture may not click well with some British workers.
