    Pros

Good pay rise at the end of the year (usually 4% or more), decent wage for young people, good experience and offers discounted shares for colleagues, discount card allows for 10% off in Sainsburys, Argos and Habitat (increases to 15-20% for events such as Christmas) overtime is abundant throughout departments allowing you to be trained on different departments.

    Cons

Often restricted when it comes to using your initiative for less senior colleagues, nepotism can sometimes be seen, meaning family members of management are more likely to get better opportunities.

I have been working at J Sainsbury part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great colleagues, amazing people to work with, in my branch anyway. Easy job, but it is really tiring. awesome down to earth managers, again in my branch anyway.

    Cons

Really tiring, very repetitive, can only claim sick pay after 2 years of dedicated work to them, you are scolded for being sick, no matter how severe the illness, even in despite of doctors notes.

    Advice to Management

Please sort out this sickness plan, we are not self-scan machines, and even they break down once a while.
