I worked at J Sainsbury full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Holidays, work collegues, fun environment and paid breaks were the best bits.
I enjoyed my time at Sainsbury very much, really it is what you make it. My management were great, offering flexible and set shifts depending on the your circumstances.
Transferring to another store (if available shifts) is easy and simple if your relocating.
Career opportunities available through self-development learning.

    Cons

Shifts can be long, and not everyone pulls there weight. Be willing to nag others or do it yourself.
Unless you have a mid shift, missing out on social events becomes a norm.
Not enough roles for staff and trained staff end up doing all the work or asked for cover.
Smaller stores are great for students but not ideal for people with families as most jobs initially suited to students.

    Advice to Management

Try to train staff in all areas or at least in few parts of the store to prevent boredom.
