I have been working at J Sainsbury full-time

    Pros

Good working environment with good team spirit. Busy work day with different days.

    Cons

Long hours, weekends and Bank Holidays to work. Many hours on feet with high physical level, not a great life/work balance.

    Advice to Management

Good for a younger person with no family ties. Difficult to achieve a lot of KPIs for bonus structure.

    Pros

Well known company to work for.
Big team, you will meet a lot of people.
You don't have time to be bord, always something to do.

    Cons

    Very hard work,not always appreciated.
Always something happening. As a manager you will be expected to pick up the phone at anytime of the day or night.

    Advice to Management

Invest more money in the labour. Company standards are high but there aren't enough people to deliver them.
    Appreciate your team.

    Pros

The food from the canteen is pretty good and I enjoy the corporate away days. I also enjoy that you get to work nights

    Cons

You feel like you're part of a machine and you feel like you are everything that is wrong with society. I struggle to get out of bed in the morning.

    Advice to Management

Sell off your assets and stop holding the monopoly. You pretend like you care about employees but you don't. Also stop with all the corporate mumbo jumbo. Your sales techniques don't work so if you must continue to be a corporate machine, at least stop trying to pretend like you actually have talent and just make sure we have enough food.
